Legends of the Shetland Seas Stole (It's Edging Time)

So now both ends are done and it's just the edging that needs to be completed. In my house it's know as "endless edging" since it feels like it takes forever. However, in this one instance, I promise that this sucker is going to be done before the end of December unless I break an arm or something. The picture where both sides are shown has the more accurate colors. I'm not much of a photographer and a lot of these shots are at night with a flash so often colors are not "true". The yarn I spun is not always consistent. Some sections are thicker than others but over-all, it's looking pretty. It will be interesting to wash it and block it. I hope the lace will show better once it's blocked. Good evening and Good Knitting/Spinning!

Jane,
It's fabulous! Having just finished a couple of lace items in handspun, a lot of the unevenness disappears into the stitchwork. The lace pattern already shows very clearly in the photos, and once wet, it will block out more than dry.

Dear Margaret,

Thanks for your comment! Its always a wonderful moment when I finally get the chance to see the finished lace and I do hope the parts that are not as even still look good. Over all I think it's turned out well. Half the edging is done now so I hope to post the finishedstole in the next few weeks. Thanks again!
