Oh spinning ADD
So I can't remember what I did in my last post, but I've started spinning two different lace yarns meaning to knit a shawl for this spin along/knit along. Neither of them are done because of beginner's mistakes. So I spun something new. It's 4 ounces of bfl, which is my new favorite fiber.
This was the original roving:
And this is how it spun up. 600 yards of a fingering weight yarn. Not sure of the WPI, probably from my estimates, 17 or 18? (I need to find a ruler...) I'm going to knit the swallowtail shawl from it. I have yet to knit one and I think this will work out great.Right now it's soaking and I'm about to go hang it to dry! I can't wait to knit it up.
ETA: Ok I went and looked back to see my last post. The merino silk is being spindle plied due to breakage and is taking forever... I have finished spinning the pink merino but it's under-plied and I need to fix it (ugh). AND I have a new wheel after all! Majacraft Little Gem. It's great for lace and I love it SO much.
It looks crooked in this pic, but it's not, it's just my ever-so-talented skills at picture taking.Oh large bobbins how I love thee...

What lovely yarn :) Yummm! It will make a beautiful Swallowtail - can't wait to see it. Love your little gem too, what a sweet wheel!
Wonderful colors! You wheel makes me long for my future Majacraft Rose. Thanks for the inspiration.
