That's what I've been asking everybody. Can you knit with single yarn? And also, do you have to set the twist in your singles before you ply it with anything? I like your single yarn by the way, color's very nice!
Your singles look great! Lovely color. I've never knitted with my singles, but that's because usually they are overspun and I rely on plying them to balance it all out. Yours look pretty balanced in the picture though. They should knit up lovely.
your singles look lovely I would go either way (lol not helpful huh?). I personally am plying my own as it is too thin in my opinion to knit without plying, I just can't seem to spin thicker then a sock yarn (and thats when it is plied), I tried once and it looked like crud.
Welcome to the Spun Stitches KAL. This Knit-A-Long is for those of us who have the passion to spin and knit. Members will spin yarn from any fiber they wish, and knit (or crochet) a shawl from their choice of pattern. There is no deadline - spin and knit your project as quickly or as slowly as you like! Remember to post lots of pictures, we love pictures!

Your singles are so beautiful that they don't need to be plied!
